About Egg Addiction
Of all the food ingredients out there, none are as irreplaceable or as cute as eggs. Eggs are used in recipes everywhere around the world. You can fry them, boil them, use them to make pastries. It’s hard to think of a more versatile and essential ingredient in the field of cooking.
Simply put, I am addicted to eggs. Eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelets, deviled eggs, any type of eggs you name it - they’re all wonderful and amazing.
That’s why we started Egg Addiction, a blog dedicated to sharing with the world the recipes and techniques I’ve gathered from cooking and eating. But mostly eating.
Amazing packaging and great mold for making really really cute breakfasts! Makes for great christmas gifts!
I LOVE this egg mold! although my first attempt was a bit of a miss, but it still worked! love the thickness of the mold.
I bought this as a gag gift for my friend who loves cats. We laughed and laughed about it. She did make eggs with it and it turned out
pretty good! Well worth the money for the enjoyment we got from it!!
My sister really seemed to like this. I got this as a gift for her because she is a cat lady and I thought it would be fun for my nephew as well. For the price, it seemed like a good deal and was actually functional as a "cat gift."
Everyone knows the saying “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” - so I wanted to find a way to amp up my family’s breakfast routine. This was a great opportunity to do so. This cute little egg mold allows you to make regular sunny side eggs into a cute little egg kitty design. The concept is very simple but it is harder than it seems to create the little kitty.
1. Make sure your mold is facing the right way before placing it in the pan.
2. Put the mold into a hot pan with the correct side up. This should be the side with a small little piece of plastic on top of kitty cat’s nose for easy grasp and mold removal.
3. Crack one egg into one eye socket and do the same with the second egg for the other eye socket.
4. Turn down the heat a little bit for the next step.
5. Make sure the egg whites are evenly distributed but if there is an empty spot with no egg you need to scoop any overloaded liquid egg white into the area before it fully cooks. This is why the heat needed to be turned down.
6. If you put in the mold properly, there should be a little piece on top of the nose that you need to pull up on that to remove the mold before it is fully cooked.
7. It might get a tad bit messy when the egg oozes out but just clean it up.
8. Remove the egg from the pan and top it off with some spices and you are set to go.
The cat egg mold is made of high quality rubber silicone and is colored vibrant pink. The silicone material is heat-resistant and does not burn you when you touch it. It can be safely washed in a dishwasher or can be hand washed. It can be used for things other than sunny side up eggs. My son who likes scrambled eggs, uses this differently. I mix the egg whites and yolk in a separate bowl and then cut spam into circles. I put the spam circles in the eyes and the egg mixture in the area surrounding it. I really like using the egg mold and it is a cute and interesting way to jazz up your meals.
This egg mold is the CUTEST thing ever!! Oh my gosh! I saw it and I just had to try it out. If you're like me and you absolutely love breakfast, than this is just the thing to make breakfast even better! This cute little kitty face makes the perfect eggs and it will put a smile on anyone's face! The mold itself came in a cute resealable package that showed what the mold does and on the back, gives you helpful information such as the link to the how-to video. The how-to video is a must! But.. I'll just give you a spoiler!
So the best way to make your cat egg purrrrfect is to heat up a skillet, once heated place the mold into the skillet and spray lightly with cooking spray. Then, take two eggs and separate the yolk from the whites. Pour the whites into the mold and wait for them to cook nicely first. Once the white are almost done, add the yolks into the eye holes and finish up cooking. You can even throw a lid over to steam the eggs! Make sure you have the mold the right way, with the triangle facing downward!
What I love best about the cat egg mold is that it's so easy to clean and re-use! So if you are like me, and you like to make multiple cat eggs for the whole family at breakfast or brinner (breakfast dinner) this is an awesome feature! The cat egg mold is dishwasher safe and makes cleaning a simple task. And don't worry about the cat egg mold melting! It can stand the heat! And don't worry if you mess up the first few times you try to make your cat egg! It's a new experience but only takes a few tries to truly master! And I am horrible at making eggs in general, so I'm sure you will be able to make an egg that looks much better than mine!
Cat egg is the perfect pairing to a full plate of yummy breakfast foods like toast, hashbrowns, and sausage! Just thinking of all of the combination plates I can create with the cat egg mold makes me so excited! This is the perfect tool to brighten up the old boring egg and make it fun for your kids as well! I really hope they come out with even more designs because this is the best mold I have ever used!!
What fun this is! We are cat lovers in my home and this is just par for the course! I had never before seen any kind of animal mold and this was a treat to find.

It's dishwasher safe.

I can find no cons.
You will love the cute way of eating or feeding your eggs to a loved one!
This cat egg mold by Egg Addiction is such a cute mold. It is made with quality grade silicone that supports up to 450℉. It's simple to use by making sure you place the yolk inside of the two rings for eyes and then it quickly forms a cat face. My kids love it. They each eat two eggs anyway so it's perfect to make them each a cat up, haha. I would definitely recommend.
This is so cute. The eggs come out just like the picture. Easy too. Just crack the eggs in the skillet, and the white part seeps out while the yolk stays in the mold. We got it for when our grand daughter visits but use it for ourselves now as a happy morning start. Fun product!
grand-daughter loved her eggs, although maybe a little too much for she wanted to save her breakfast instead of eat it :)
a good non-stick pan a must or eggs will stick and ruin kitty shape.
The first egg cat I made was mildly terrifying. It was a ton of fun making it though. After about 6 eggs later, I made an egg cat worth bragging, in my opinion, over. The best way to get a pretty egg cat is to preheat the pan to a low heat and add the silicone cat mold to the pan. I use non-stick spray and apart both the pan and the mold. If you spray the pan and mold separate, the spray will get under the mold edges and let the egg under the edges later. Also the egg yellow and whites get separated before being poured into the mold. I add the egg white to the mold first and then add both eyes in carefully so they don't break.
